McCain Clinches Presidential Nomination

Senator Clinton had huge night as she secured two victories in Texas and Ohio. Although she still remains behind Obama by over 100 delegate votes, these two victories are important for her to remain competitive for the presidential nomination. While the two Democrat’s continue to duke it out, Senator John McCain has clinched the title of the Republican Party Presidential Candidate. Governor Huckabee renounced his attempt to obtain the bid announced his support for the Republican Party and John McCain.

John McCain’s victory came with remarks to stand firm on the key issues of our nation. Among those issues, the Senator believes we SHOULD NOT withdraw from Iraq prematurely, limit trade, or raise taxes. One of the greatest issues of this year’s elections has been the concern on our countries healthcare crisis. Health insurance premiums have been rising for years and McCain feels that we should focus on controlling the cost of healthcare rather than imposing government mandates which are destined to fail. Our country has built a solid healthcare system with the best services in the world. It is now time to focus controlling the cost of the system rather than harming the elements of the system.
