Rudy's Plan

Most people will agree that the US has great healthcare if you have access to it. People from all parts of the world will travel to the United States to receive treatment and surgery. Many Presidential Candidates are fighting to reform our healthcare system to grant access to everyone. A universal healthcare system in the US would not add the great services people already receive, but it will only restrict the services that are offered. A universal health insurance plan will create long waitlists to obtain service. Our market works well because there is a sense of competition. To make sure our market continues to work well in the future, we must increase the competition and also increase access to more individuals.

Rudy Giuliani’s plan is to make health insurance more portable and affordable. The plans design will make it easier for citizens to obtain health insurance by offering tax breaks for those who purchase their own insurance. It will also optimize the benefits of health savings accounts by simplifying rules and regulations. Another incentive to drive down health insurance prices would allow consumers to buy plans across state lines. The higher availability of plans will drive competition up and costs down.

The only way costs will drop, is if people are directly impacted by how much it costs.
So a health care plan that pays tiered percentages (based on what you/your employer pay for the plan) of the costs for what you need, is best.
This keeps the recipient of the service in the money loop with the cost of the service. Costs will stop spiraling this way.

That and seriously trim the regulations. The FDA needs a lot more than a haircut. It would make a much more effective ADVISORY committee.
